Who has your back
Meet your dispatch
Our dispatch team has many years of experience in container drayage at the Port of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma. We know every terminal, every gate and every receiver in Washington. We love logistics, and we commit fully to taking care of our drivers. Your dispatcher books your terminal appointment before you leave, keeps a chassis ready on our yard, and answers the phone when a gate closes early or a dock is full. Pre-pull, chassis split, standby and overweight permit are planned ahead and added to your weekly settlement. You drive and get paid. We handle the rest.

Questions owner-operators ask us
Do you pay empty miles on long-haul?
Yes. The long-haul rate is a round trip, out loaded and back empty, paid once on the delivery leg. On port work you are paid per move, and a bobtail or a dry run is its own line.
When and how do I get paid?
Weekly, no delays, with every move listed. Deductions are one flat insurance line ($325 a week on our policy, $230 for port-only coverage, or none on your own policy) plus ELD, camera and logbook at cost. Oregon weight-mile tax and IFTA are ours to file and pay, and there is no trailer or chassis rental: the chassis is ours.
What does long-haul look like here?
Containers to receivers in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and California, priced on the per-ZIP map before you hook. Drivers who mix port and long-haul gross $230,000–340,000 a year.
Where do I fix the truck?
Long Road Repair, our own shop in the Tacoma tideflats. Our owner-operators go first, at a shop rate, on your tractor and on our chassis.
How fast can I start?
Dispatch calls within one business day of your application. With your CDL, TWIC, MVR and the tractor's DOT inspection and insurance in hand, orientation is scheduled at the Fife office and your first appointments follow.
